Bacchus House will host the San Diego City Contest for the Mr. Gay Competition on Saturday, Aug. 19, and you can be a contestant!
This is the second year San Diego will be a preliminary city host for the annual event. Jesse Bashem, who won the San Diego City Contest last year, went on to win the Grand Finale Competition. Coco LaChine is scheduled to host the local event this year and local celebrity judges will be on hand for the competition. More than $300 in cash and prizes will be awarded.
The city contest for the international competition will begin at 9:00 p.m. In addition to the contest, the evening at Bacchus House will feature DJ Paulo from 10:00 p.m. ’til 5:00 a.m. and vodka drink specials. The cover charge for the evening is $7.
The Mr. Gay Competition finals are scheduled to take place in Palm Springs Oct. 26-29 at the new Palm Springs Convention Center. More than 20 North American city winners will join at least 20 international delegates from around the world for the final elimination rounds at the Grand Finale Competition for the title of Mr. Gay 2007.
